We've sent it today - we kept it on the bench and kept it testing and couldn't find any fault in the functioning at all.
So it's been sent today and should be with you by friday.

well isn't that a turn up for the book, if it is working okay with dodgey casing send it back the way it is. i can only assume that the jiggling actually got the LCD display working again. would it not be advisable to have a local engineer to sort out problems on a call out basis to resolve potential problems? thanks.

We have received back your unit, thanks.
However unfortunately there is some damage to the unit due to the packaging. The box had no fragile tape on it and quite a bit of space inside - which has resulted in the unit itself not being protected sufficiently.
As a result the feet have been 'dented' into the bottom of the unit - we have taken some photos if you would like to see them. It means that the tower has a lean to it - kind of like the leaning tower of Pisa...
Also - so far the unit has been working fine - the LCD display is working fine and it is burning ok. We will keep it testing to see if we can find any fault.
Please advise how you would like to proceed in terms of the lean - we can quote you a replacement case if you like? Or you can have it back the way it is - please let me know.

As per your call just now - I can confirm that packing the unit in non-orignal packaging will not invalidate your warranty.
Just please ensure it is packed very well for rough handling by couriers, as any damage incurred in transit is not coverered under warranty. Lots of bubble wrap/filling is advised and a very sturdy box! Also Fragile tape!

Hello, please can you pack the duplicator the best you can and send it back to us. We do not arrange collection for any items as it is up to the end user to send the faulty item back to us.[edited]

Dear Siobhan, Please can you fill in a RMA form, which will follow this email. Then securely package the unit up and send the unit back to us, once a RMA number has been issued. All CD-Writer Units are Return to base only.
