Hi Allan,
I have received your unit back again and put it on the bench for testing.
The machine itself seems to work fine with the discs we use here (Ritek, Taiyo Yuden & StorDigital). I successfully put through 25 discs in a row without the unit stopping, however when it came to pick up one of your "Impega" CD-R's (a brand I've actually never heard of) the unit stopped instantly. On closer inspection, the discs appear to be slightly narrower than most standard CD-R discs and the centre circle also appears slightly tapered, not completely smooth. This could explain why the arm is unable to pick up your discs every time a burn has been completed.
I don't know if this is down to a faulty batch you may have or if it is down to the manufacturing process, but the problem does appear to be with the discs you are using and not with the duplicator. I will put another run of 50 discs through to be certain, but at this stage I'm afraid there is little I can do if the second test (with branded media) also passes successfully.
