DA-5500 releasing more than 1 disc

Just bought a StorDigital SD100lite. Having made a few copies successfully, the release mechanism no longer releases one disc but drops several (sometimes all the discs) from the input bin unto the CD drive. We purchased these disks from CD-Writer.com. I have loosened the CDs and still have the problem even when I have only 5 disks in the input bin.
