Dear Ian, this problem will ususally occur due to unstable media, or lower quality meia, It can also result from trying to burn at too high burn speed. Did you try to reduce the speed and change your media. Also you might want to try copying a disc that you have known to previously work, and view it to see if it plays beyong 40 mins. Kind regards.
