Fail Discs on StorDigital 11 Duplicator

After working fine in the past this problem now occurs. When using the autocopy function, it asks and reads the master disc OK, asks for blanks, but then fails to burn, reading PASS 0 FAIL 10. Any ideas? I don't have the invoice number to hand, this machine was purchased before my time. Please call Gareth on [edited] if there's any problem. Thanks

Hi Gareth,
Which media are you using? You could well have a faulty batch of discs. If possible, i'd try burning to a different branded media to see if that helps.

We've used a few different brands of media, both DVD and CDR, the problem happens with all of them?

Hi Gareth,
It sounds like there could be a problem with the power supply or controller card. Its hard to tell without closer inspection and further tests, but if it is happening on both CD and DVD - its almost certainly to do with the amount of power getting to each laser.
I'm guessing the machine is currently out of warranty? if you send me the serial number, I should be able to check our system for you.

Hello David, after I'd not heard back for a while, I called again and spoke to an engineer. He ran through some things on the phone and all problem was solved... at least, it seems fine so far. Thanks for checking up though. Cheers, Gareth
