Image manager not recognising duplicator hard drive
We have just got a silver SD9DVDHD with usb connection. The usb picks up on the computer (it appears on the little arrow on the task bar, for safely removing the'usb mass storage devicce'.) It doesnt not appear in 'my computer'though.
I followed the instructions as best I can (although the manual didnt quite match up with the duplicators funtion numbers).
I installed the image manager from the cd, and restarted the pc. I then went into image manager and clicked on the 3rd icon as the manual says ( having set the duplicator to USB L.H mode', and no hard drive appeared in the box. I have tried holding down esc and formatting the disc it didnt work. I have also verified the hard disk and that was ok. In the advanced section the USB option is set to 'on'. I have also tried hooking it all up (software included)on a laptop and that didnt work either (hence an apparent problem with the duplicator), although the laptop didnt even show the 3rd icon in image manger!
When I first installed image manger when I opened it up there is an image on the far right of the screen of 2 hard drives with yellow arrows in between, when I first used it the arrows read:1.0.0.5 (as opposed to the pic in the book that said 1.0.0.4)(does this no. mean anything). In the process of searching different avenues of possible solutions, I found that in the device manager in the control panel, the usb controller host had a yellow question mark and exclaimation (the driver seemed to have disappeared). We updated the driver with our motherboard cd, and it still doesnt work. Althougth that number underneath the little icon with 2 hard drives in image manager, has changed to something like : 1.0.1.3' what is this number and could this be the problem???
I have spoken to Derek from cd-writer he said to write out this ticket, so we can go through the return process.
Many thanks,
