Robocopier SD1000

Our Robocopier machine keeps stopping mid-flow when duplicating discs. I think it could be something to do with the suction pads as it is failing to drop discs when it is supposed to and this is what is causing it to fail. I've noticed it do it at two different points with a different error message for each: 1. Sometimes it doesn't drop a disc into the burner tray when it should, in which case it just stops and the error message reads 'Disc misloaded in output bin 1 (c1) Resume?' (or whichever bin it failed on) 2. Sometimes it fails to drop a disc onto the output hopper in which case it stops also and the error message is 'Unknown Error: 192. Please Restart.' It isn't anything to do with using new dics as this isn't the case. We are a video production company though and the Robocopier gets a lot of use duplicating various discs. Can you please suggest anything else? We are at a bit of a loss without it!

Dear Amy - When the system has booted into copy mode it should display the firmware version on the right hand side of the display C#.# - please advise me what this number is. It is visible while the unit is in Copy Mode. We may need to send you a frimware revision. Are you sure this problem is not specific to an individual job.. ? ie one particular batch of disc or one master - pls advise re brand of media you are using. Kind regards.

Unless I'm doing something wrong, I'm pretty sure the system doesn't display the Firmware Version on the screen when copying - I've watched it through a couple of times now and haven't spotted it. It says V1.2 on the actual machine however - I don't know if this is any help? The problem could well be specific to a particular job as we're currently duplicating a certain set of CDs from a master and I don't remember it playing up before this one. But I would have thought that if it didn't like a particular job, it would simply fail to copy it rather than fail to drop it - do you not think it sounds more like something to do with the suction system? We're currently using Titanium Datawrite Full Face Printable CD-R discs but it had the same problems with Ritek Full Face Printable CD-R discs. Please let me know if you need any more information. Thank you!

Amy

It will say 1. Copy and SotrDIgital and E.41 or something - not when it copies - just simply when in copy mode - ie when you turn it on. Kind regards

It says B.37.

Hi there,

We're still having trouble with our StorDigital machine - the same problems are happening in terms of it stopping in the middle of a batch of copies and it seems to do it every time now, regardless of the disk. Last time we spoke, I tried to install the new firmware you sent me but the machine didn't recognise it - please can you help?
