SD100 robotic loader alignment

The alignment of the robotic picker with the input spindle and drives two and three is slightly out. Please advise how to correct this as the picker is hitting the input spindle and discs are not being placed in the drive trays accurately

Hi Anthony, By the sounds of it, there may have been a program error in the firmware, which caused the error you saw. Restarting the machine re-loaded the firmware again. I hope the machine is still working well for you. Kind Regards, [edited]

If the spindle is slightly off centre with the robotic arm, it is recommended that the spindles should be turned around slightly and/or have their positions swapped.

We received the autoloader Wednesday and having unpacked the system, chose to leave it to aclimatise. Switched the system on on Thursday and were surprsed by the level of noise from the system cooling fans. We then ran a copy job, using the Autocopy option. We found there is still an issue with the alignment of the picker arm with the input spindle, in that the arm strikes the side of the spindle as it descends to collect a new disk and is dragged down and up the side of the spindle as it collects a disk for placing into a drive tray. We have also found that on one occassion, whilst running a copy job, the lcd panel went blank. Since it did not come on again when a front panel button was pressed, I believe this to be a fault rather than a power saving feature. Our immediate way of resolving this was to shutdown the system, using the front panel power switch. Once restarted the system behaved normally.

Just confirming (as per phone call) that we have repaired and fully tested your unit and sent it back out today for delivery tomorrow (wednesday).
Please take all care when unpacking the unit - as alignment issues can occur if the unit is removed from the packaging without due care.
