Hi Cliff,
That error usually appears when the duplicator can not determine what information is on your master disc. This is usually caused by dirt/scratches on the disc itself. Does the machine work when you use a different master? or do you get the same message? Kind Regards, [edited] |

Hi [edited],
Thanks for the reply. I'll forward this onto our Photographic Dept who are owners of the duplicator. They are much more au fait with what they feed into the unit to copy. I'll keep you posted with their progress.

Hi [edited], I got a reply from our photographic dept but they weren't clear on just how many attempts they had done. So far they have tried three different master, twice each, and two other in-house DVDs, with three attempts at each of those. The same error message pops up on each occasion.

OK to test the unit you can change the source drive. I think option 7 or 8 is selct source, go to it, then select a drive other thatn the one that is selected, press ENT, then scroll to copy. Now press enter. The drive that ejects is your new source dirve. Insert your master. Insert your 2 blanks. Press Copy. The device shoudl copy to the 2 blank disc. If not you may have controller failure. |

The owner of the machine has been away for a time. I got his reply yesterday:
Hi Cliff
I have obliged the gentleman by following his suggestion and it's still coming up with the same error but not on every master disc
as I have just burnt 9 and tried to burn another 3 from the same master and then it came up with the error. This is a intermittent fault
and I have wasted in total 50 to 60 discs and have no faith in the equipment at all.
Could you please have it taken out and flogged and then shot.
Kind Regards
Stu. |

Hi Stu,
If Cliff has now tried several master discs and swapped the source drive the fault could indeed be with the machine. I will send you an RMA Request form now, which is to be completed and sent back to us.
It does concern me slightly that a few of the master discs worked when he swapped the drive but other times they have not, so if you could also include a copy of your master disc when returning the unit, we will ensure the fault is repaired and the machine tested with your own discs. Kind Regards, [edited] |
