7DVD duplicator

Hi, We have one of these with the USB option ans whilst the unit will copy in stand-alone mode, when in USB mode, the PC doesn't see any extra DVD drives, just an additional Local disk which says it isn't formatted when you click on it. We resume this is the internal hard drive of the duplicator. according to the Manual, it say we should see and extra DVD drive. Please help.

The USB connect allows you to access add, delete images on hte hard drive. If there was no hard drive attached then I believe it would allow access to a sinlge DVD recorder. Kind regards.

so what you are saying, is that if there were no hard drive in the unit, then we would see the DVD-drive. Should we see all the other 7 drives also ?

If there was no HDD you could see one recorder. There is no benefit for seeing all the recorders since you can only do 1 job per session. If it had an autoloader and and asynchronous recording drives it would be usefull. But I know of no such product. Kind regards.

So if this was the case, what is the point in supplying the HA burning software if it can't be used to copy from the master drive to the slaves ?

I some cases HA burner is required to convert ISO files to a disc image suitable for the manager I believe. HA burner just makes a DISC IMAGE, so you make a disc image on your HDD that can then be copied over - it is not for burning to or via the duplicator. Kind regards.
