Return of Print FActory 2

Ref: discussion with David Caunce. My PF2 is not working properly. David thinks he can fix it if I have it sent back to you for next Wednesday (15th Feb). I apparently need an authorisation number through your website before I dispatch it to you. Please can you advise of a return number. Kind regards Ian

Hi Folks,

This is the rather rambling text sent to Microboards via their site form:

On delivery the PF2 in a batch of 18 would eject at least 2 blanks and need to have the CDs reset in the feeder at least 4 times, i.e. the most the PF2 would feed through in one run would be 3 CDs.
I assumed the fault was my incompetence in loading the CDs and have tried numerous permetations for loading the CDs along with the 5 CDs in the feeder with the remainder stacked between the feeder bars as recommended in the manual.
Recently, the feeding has got worse, often junking 5-6 disks in a batch of 20 and ejecting 5 blanks in a batch, and sometimes jambing disks in the exit slot.
What this has meant is I could never leave the PF2 unattended and had to check each CD as it was ejected.
I contacted CD-Writer and had two conversations with David Caunce. David confirmed that the PF2 should be more consistant than this and should be capable of printing 100 CDs without tending. We established that the CD is jambing at the back of the initial feeding tube and not dropping onto the feed conveyor. David authorised me to open up the PF2 case and run some checks. I ensured that the lower black fittings to the feeder tube were at their maximum height. David asked me to check the nylon lever that pushes against the disk slide, at this point it was determined that the motor was now U/S that activates this lever and therefore no further tests could be carried out.
I am currently operating the PF2 by manually feeding the CDs individually (which is actually faster than before but obviously hugely labour intensive!).
I am only a small business that has come to depend on the PF2 but cannot afford to invest in a second machine at this time. I would be very grateful if arrangements could be made to keep the amount of time I am without the PF2 is kept to a minimum.
Talking to Jen at CD-Writer she has recommended I complete this form and request a return number from you.
Please advise how I might return the equitpment to you, how long it might take to repair, set to work and return so I can estimate how much stock I need to produce to see me thought this period.
Many thanks
Ian Bourne
