Duplicator problems
Have a 7-stack duplicator, bought from Disk Depot late last year. Burned several hundred discs with very few failures. Duplicator hardly used at all in last 6 months. Started up again a few days ago and have had lots of failures - have lost around 35 DVDs in last three days. Failure not consistent. For example, burnt a single copy successfully, but when tried burning 7 got a message saying "mismatch in size between master and blanks" (or words to that effect), yet it was the same master and exactly the same blanks.

Please go to the UTILITIES menu item which should be 12 or 13. Press ENT and scroll to (4)DEVICE INFO, press ENT again and use the UP/DWN arrows locate the writer firmware version - something like...02 Port 3 {1.06}Pioneer DVD-RW DVD-R 112D. Please report the figures in the brackets. |

Message shows 01 Port 1 (1.11).
Tried burning a single DVD this morning - same problem: failed burn, another wasted DVD. I then put the same master and a new blank from the same package into my desktop drives and successfully burned a copy. |

Took the master and one of the 'mismatch' discs and put them in my desktop DVD drive and burner - which is now happily burning a copy.
The size of the master is 3.8GB. |

Serial number is 003234. There's another barcoded label with F06080210078 A.
I see you have 2 tickets open.
I can't the record of the order number. As noted earlier, the purchase date as per my credit card statement was 2nd Feb. 2007 |

Pretty sure it's not the media - have have random problems with different batches of media: it will burn 7, then next time will fail one or two of same media.
Media can't explain why it burned one copy successfully, but then came up with the 'mismatch' message when I tried to burn 7.
Just tried it again and had the same problem - single burn was successful, then tried 3 and got the same 'mismatch' message. |
